Toronto, like many major cities around the world, lies on the shores of a large body of water. Lake Ontario, the smallest of the Great Lakes shares it’s name with Canada’s most populated province, Ontario, of which Toronto is the capital. These inland, fresh water seas, provide for wonderful recreational opportunities. Sailing is but one, but a significant one it is.
Unlike smaller craft, the Tall Ships which dock along Queen’s Quay, offer an experience which casts a gaze back on a romantic past, when water transport played a prominent roll in linking together the
various lake side communities dotting the shore line.

Having spent my childhood summers in the Laurentians, it’s no wonder that I should love the outdoors
and be attracted to wildlife biology in my formal education.
Neither is it surprising that I would always have a camera in hand,
as both interests demand a keen sense of observation.
Here is where I get the chance to show off what catches my eye, provokes my imagination and allows me to express my creativity.
I also love to write, so don’t rush away without taking a peak at my Blog musings.
