The photographs in this Photo Essay were produced over a three month time period on the Island of Akimiski and along the coast lines of James and Hudson Bays in Ontario, Canada. The field study was designed to identify the changing population dynamics between Canada Geese and Snow Geese and their impact on the local ecology. Changing agricultural practices in the U.S. mid west were resulting in increased numbers of Snow Geese returning to nest in the Canadian far north and impacting negatively on several sub-species of Canada Goose.
